Seaport Village Inn, Avalon

We had a great stay at Seaport Village Inn in Avalon on Catalina Island. The ocean view from the property was beautiful and made the whole trip feel extra relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service from the moment we arrived. Check-in was quick and easy, which was a huge plus after traveling. The area is quiet, peaceful, and very walkable to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Overall a very enjoyable stay — comfortable, convenient, and relaxing. Definitely a solid experience and a place we’d happily return to.

Great room, very spacious with a full kitchen. Close to everything. The shower was only warm though overall it was good.

Our only comments are they didn’t leave hardly any coffee in the room, just one that was not very good. The Jacuzzi also was not hot so we did not use it, other than that we were really pleased with our stay here.

Convenient Location, but Needs a Facelift We stayed at the Seaport Village Inn in Avalon for one night over the busy annual half marathon/Veteran's Day weekend, paying around $452 total. The hotel's location is fantastic—everything in town is within walking distance. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. A big plus: they stored our luggage for free before check-in, allowing us to head straight to our reserved lounge chairs at Descanso Beach Club. Overall, the stay was fine, but the hotel is pretty run-down and definitely needs a facelift. Our room was spacious and had great views of the port, but the furnishings are dated and could use an upgrade. We had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, and a seating area, but essential amenities like a hair dryer and an iron were missing from the room. It’s an okay spot if you’re just in town for a night and prioritize location and views over modern comforts.

One cool set up, just 1 city block up from the main areas. I will be back and have no problem staying here. My wive enjoyed the view and they have a hot tub large fits several folks easily in it. We had no issues at all at this cool hotel.

it was the perfect beach hotel vibe i was looking for! we got to book w a promo of free room upgrade nd we loved our room, simple but spacey with a view and semi balcony. the place is really nice and the people were also very kind and easy to get ahold of. great deal for a catalina trip!

We were blessed by family and friends with a mini vacation to Catalina and we got to stay at Seaport Village. The room was very spacious, clean, conveniently located near many amenities. The staff are wonderful and friendly. If you go to Avalon for fun or business, this is a place you would want to stay.

After reading some reviews, I was unsure about my stay. But, all of those fears were put to rest. I arrived to Catalina early in the morning. I stopped to see if I could leave my bag, and they accepted it right away. All of my dealings with the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even the maintenance man, refilling the jacuzzi was nice and helpful. When I came back to officially check-in, I signed, got my key, and off to my room. None of the horrible things I've read were true. The room was nice, it was clean, and everything worked. A/C was great, powerful ceiling fan, and the TV had clear channels. Even the bathroom was nice. My only slight issue was how soft the bed was. I mean it was REALLY squishy. But, after my long day of island activities, I slept really well. I also took advantage of that jacuzzi, and it was nice as well. Why did I only give 4 stars?? Well, my view was a railing, with scuba suits drapped over it, and scuba tanks on the ground. But, for the 10 minutes I had the curtain open to see it, it really wasn't too bad. I wasn't there for the view. This was a nice, safe, comfortable place to stay while visiting Catalina, and I would have no problems staying here again.
